AR-15 assault rifle - before & after Connecticut specific ban and re-tooling

That was utterly pathetic, the front sight doesn't make a gun deadly (It it needed to aim), nor does a flash suppressor (it reduces recoil and limits the fireball escaping), Nor a "High-capacity magazine" which has been proven irrelevant to how many rounds can be fired, .223 Remington is an already tiny bullet, 22lr just makes it have 1/10 the range, overall, a useless law that only restricts law-abiding citizens.
Don't worry, I'm SURE all the horrible people who already own Armalite Rifles are going to abide by the law and turn in their magazines... sounds REAL logical
Finally, What makes the AR build (Stands for "Armalite Rifle", not "Assault Rifle") an "Assault Rifle", It's full-auto capabilities (Which it doesn't have)?, It's use in combat (Oh, wait...)? The huge amount of killers who choose this style of gun (Except, they don't, Killers normally use handguns (Concealability, Readiness of ammo, High RPM) or occasionally shotguns (Deadly ammunition, powerful knockback, can saw off the barrel and hide))?
Good luck convincing me of otherwise
